Heirloom Jewelry Becomes Modern Ring
Our client, Cynthia, inherited a diamond wedding set and a pair of emerald earrings from her mother.
She wanted to create a ring using both pieces that was practical for daily wear, and complimented her personal style. Cynthia loves jewelry and already has quite the collection, so it was important to design something very unique for this sentimental piece.
After going over different design options, Cynthia decided she liked this double band ring that would fit both emeralds and all of the diamonds from her mother's wedding set. Once Cynthia signed off on the CAD design, we used a 3D printer to print this wax model.
We removed the diamonds and emeralds from the original settings and then refined the gold. We then used the recycled gold to cast the new ring.
After casting and polishing, we set the stones into the new piece. We love the finished product!
